“I never really had any direction in my life. I knew what I wanted to become one day, but I never really knew how or where to start. After I completed my matric year, I got a job. I worked for a year and a half. During that time, I realised that my life was going nowhere and that if I had continued working, I would be stuck in one place for the rest of my life. I took a big risk and decided to quit. I needed to make a change in my life and gain more control. One month later, a friend of mine introduced me to Communiversity. I got an interview, and I was so scared that I would mess up and lose this great opportunity, but I got accepted, and I was so excited.
I had always been an angry person. I don’t know why. I think it’s because I don’t really express my feelings. Communiversity really helped me with that by introducing me to Transcendental Meditation. TM helped me in so much ways, like being able to remain calm when I was upset, and reducing my stress and overthinking.
Everyone at Communiversity was very welcoming to me. I felt as if it were a second home. All the lecturers really made learning very exciting and interesting. The monitors were great as well, and they were always respectful of us and made sure that we had something in our stomachs.
Overall, I really enjoyed everything that I’ve learnt and friends I made. I also appreciate everything all the lecturers have done for me. They’ve always tried their best to help where they can and give advice and I am so grateful to them.”
