“This is a 19 year-old big boy with big dreams and a big head, but cool and calm. Before I joined the Communiversity of South Africa, I was ashamed because I’m not used to failing. I was always one of best students in primary school and high school. I was selected to study at Kutlwanong, one of the best Science Centres in South Africa.. At the end of grade 12, I faced challenges and took my studies lightly and did not focus well. As I was good in science and maths, I received the certificate in Science, but I was disappointed when I only got 49% in English and that gave me a huge lesson because I was trusted by my family. My mother reminded me that my second name is Blessing, and she said,“My son, be a blessing to this family. I believe in you” and those words gave me hope.
I had inherited hope while also being ashamed of myself, thinking I’m a loser. Then we had the TM course. At first, I thought it was a stupid course but later I understood the assignment of how important it is to meditate, It gives us a clear mind and allows us to think wisely.
